Reader Guidelines

 

We require all Our users who read the contents to abide by the following guidelines:

1. Do not copy the Published Works or infringe upon any rights of another person in their original works, anyway or form, or transmit it to other people through any means, unless such action has received prior written approval of the author.
2. Do not create more than one User profile simultaneously or log on through another profile if one profile has been suspended or banned for any reason.
3. Do not create a fake profile by using false information or impersonating another person on our site by using their name, or photo, claiming to be someone other than Yourself, or through any other means.
4. Behave respectfully on the Website/Application towards other Users while using the Features and sharing Inputs (ex: reviews, chats) in compliance with the Communication Guidelines.
5. Use caution while conducting any financial transactions with other Users based on any content published by them, whether Published Works/Inputs. You are solely responsible for any consequences of such transactions. The Company has no liability for the same.
6. Be Our champion and promptly report any Published Works or Inputs which violate Our guidelines.
7. Always follow and comply with all policies and guidelines issued by the Company from time to time.

 

Author Guidelines

We encourage each author to treat Poetic Essence Publications as their own and help protect the Website/Application from content which is not in compliance with Our Content Guidelines, Copyright Policy and Tagging Policy. Please keep the following guidelines in mind:

1. Do not publish any content which you do not own or have valid permission to publish, including those for which copyright protection has expired (ex: classic novels in the public domain) or those otherwise freely available on the internet.
2. Do not publish any content which violates any law in force.
3. The content should comply with Our Content Guidelines, Copyright Policy and Tagging guidelines, and the author shall ensure that the Published Works are suitable for consumption by a large audience.
4. Refrain from misusing the Website/Application by publishing defamatory, hateful content, revealing anyone’s personal information without consent or any other content disallowed by Our Content Guidelines.
5. Always follow and comply with all policies and guidelines issued by the Company from time to time.
6. Behave respectfully towards other users while undertaking any action on the Website/Application, including responding to reviews of your content by other Users or while chatting with other Users through the Website/Application in compliance with the Communication Guidelines.
7. Refrain from using the Website/Application to collect money from other Users, including for any charitable purposes. The Company will not be responsible for any consequences of such transactions.
8. We reserve the right to remove contents and/or reviews if we find it to be violating our policies. We will inform you upon receiving any complaints and encourage you to address the issues voluntarily to avoid any coercive action.

11. Be our champion and promptly report any content or review which violates Our guidelines.
12. Copyright of any content belongs to its original author and vests with them automatically and/or as provided under the law. You, as the author, remain the copyright owner of content that is original and published by you.
13. If any third party approaches you for any rights in your content, we urge you to consider the same carefully and obtain professional legal advice on the terms and conditions proposed by such third party. We will not be responsible for any such arrangements you enter with any third party.
14. The Company may launch multiple monetization features and/or plans on the Website/Application from time to time for which your content may be chosen. Please go through the relevant FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions) and exercise your discretion before opting into any of such features and/or plans. We are committed to encouraging authors on Our Website/application to pursue their passion for writing by enabling them to monetize their content fairly.
15. While we shall endeavour to assist the author in restricting unauthorized use of their contents on the Website/Application, the same shall not apply outside the Website/Application. Any such assistance provided shall be at the Company’s sole discretion.
16. Each author will be responsible for maintaining and keeping safe copies of their content in a suitable location other than on the Website/Application at any time.

 

Fake Engagements

We consider it very important that the interaction of our users with the Website/Application and between users is authentic and not manipulated in any manner. Therefore, we prohibit the following:

1. Using any features on the Website/Application in a way that artificially increases or decreases the attention to any content or user.
2. Putting up content solely to incentivize readers to increase engagement with such content (such as reads, earnings, ratings, comments or follows), including repeatedly reposting content from external sources and repeated duplication of content from within the Website/Application.
3. Inserting links to sources which provide or claim to provide services which would violate Our policies or inserting links to outside resources used to coordinate any inauthentic or illegal behaviours or to promote/market any products or services or any other behaviours in spamming.
4. Manipulating by any means the reviews or ratings on any content.
5. Offering financial incentives to users to create fake engagement or to manipulate the features on the Website/Application.
6. Engage in any concerted activity with other users to artificially increase the ratings of any content or lower the ratings with an intention to impact the reach/ reputation of specific authors.
7. Engage in any concerted activity with other users through reviews or any offline channels to maliciously target any author or his/her content, including by defaming, harassing, or abusing such author.
8. Creating a fake profile by using false information or impersonating another person on the Website/Application by using any of their details, such as their name or photo, by claiming to be someone other than yourself, or through any other means.

 

Illegal Activities

We prohibit the usage of our Website/Application or features to carry out illegal activities, and we reserve the right to take action against users engaging in any such activities promptly. You will be solely liable for any consequences arising under the law for such actions. Note the following:

• Do not use the Website/Application or any Features to violate the intellectual property rights of anyone, such as:

1. Publishing or exploiting another’s original work published on the Website/Application through third-party channels.
2. Publishing content on the Website/Application that belongs to someone else without proper permission.

• Do not use Our Website/Application or any features to carry out or coordinate any activities which are deemed illegal by any law in India, such as:

1. Sale of illegal goods or services, regulated goods, drugs, and controlled substances, and soliciting or selling of sexual services.
2. Posting material that displays tutorials or instructions or educates the users about illegal and prohibited activities including, but not limited to, participating in criminal activities, making bombs or encouraging or doing or trading in drugs.
3. Soliciting or facilitating any transaction or gift involving such goods and services which are declared illegal by the Government of India
4. Engaging in any fraudulent behaviours such as impersonation, uploading of computer viruses, malware, or any other computer code designed to restrict the functionality of any computer resource used for the Website/Application.

 

Communication

Users have multiple features on the Website/Application to improve the User experience and to be involved with the Poetic Essence Publications community. This should not be misused in any manner. We urge each user to be responsible and respectful while using these features and abide by the below guidelines.

The company may, from time to time, introduce other features on the Website/Application through which users can share other content in the nature of inputs. The guidelines of the Company, including Review Guidelines and Chat Guidelines, must be complied with while publishing such inputs to the extent applicable.

 

Review and Comment Guidelines

We may remove any review/comment in reviews which violates any of our guidelines/policies, and repeated or severe violations may result in the violating account/s being blocked, either temporarily or permanently.

1. Please rate content properly (One star is the lowest, and five stars are the highest).
2. Do not post anything in the reviews which violates Our Content Guidelines.
3. Critiquing others’ content is fine if you remain respectful about it. Our Website/Application will disallow the publishing of reviews containing foul language if detected.
4. Do not post anything that personally attacks the author or any other individual/group of individuals.
5. Limit the reviews to the relevant Published Works and use respectful language. For example, do not use the reviews to make political statements, for trolling anyone or for any other such harmful or manipulative behaviours.
6. Do not post anything or engage in any behavior’s which violate Our Fake Engagement Guidelines.

 

Chat Guidelines

While using our chat feature, users must comply with the below guidelines:

1. Do not send any messages through the chat feature which violates Our Content Guidelines.
2. Do not spam or harass users for acquiring copyrights in their content despite the user not being willing to proceed.
3. Do not publish chat transcripts with other users on public platforms and maintain confidentiality of the same.
4. Be respectful of other users and refrain from contacting those who do not wish to engage with you.
5. We urge you to use available features to control/ restrict who can contact You on the Website/Application.
6. We urge you not to share any personal information about Yourself as it may put your safety at risk. This will include sharing personal banking information such as PIN, OTP etc.
7. Refrain from conducting any financial transactions with others based on communication with them through the chat feature. You are solely responsible for any consequences of fraudulent transactions. The Company has no liability for the same.
8. We do not read, manually or automatically, any chats or messages unless required by law, and therefore we strongly urge you to immediately report if you have reason to believe that any of our guidelines/policies are being violated or if you are a victim of receiving threats, unsolicited messages, or any unwanted behaviours through the chat feature. To resolve such issues, we may ask for screenshots of the chat messages complained of.

Tagging Guidelines

To ensure that users are fully aware of the nature of content in any published work and choose what to consume, we require all authors to appropriately tag their content for the applicable categories from the list available on the Website/Application.

We urge users to pay special attention to tagging their content correctly where the same is not suitable for consumption by minors.

Enforcement of Guidelines

You may report any violations of our policies and guidelines to Mrs Vipin V Kamble, founder, at admin@poeticessencepublications.com.

The below timelines shall apply to such reports:

1. Acknowledgement of report within 24 hours.
2. Resolution of the issue within 15 working days.

Depending on the nature of the violation or issue reported and whether it is a repeat offence, the Company, at its sole discretion, shall take one or more of the following actions:

1. Issue a warning to the user
2. Require the user to fix the violation or deviation
3. Block the user profile (This disables the user from logging on to the Website/Application using the blocked profile’s credentials. All the content of the user, including content and reviews, gets removed. The Company will provide 24 hours for the user to take a backup of the contents before blocking).

If the Company is required to provide any information to law enforcement authorities as required by law, the Company shall share such details as may be required to such authorities. In addition to the above, the Company may also preserve any information published on its website which has been removed or access to which has been disabled, basis any grievance received for violation of our Usage Guidelines, and/or any associated records, for a period of 180 days or much more extended period as may be required in compliance with applicable laws and/or order(s) by the court or relevant government agencies.

Report User

The Poetic Essence Publications community is a safe and positive environment, and all the users are encouraged to share their thoughts and opinions in respectful and appropriate forms. Discussing opinions on works, conversing with others, and developing new ideas together are all great ways to interact with Poetic Essence Publications. In some cases, however, disputes can occur and may result in users being reported.

If you would like to report a user for cyber-bullying, harassment, or inappropriate content, please follow the steps below:

1. Visit the profile page of the user you would like to report.
2. Press the question mark symbol in the top right-hand corner of the screen.
3. Select the reason for reporting the user and provide more details on the issue.
4. Press ‘Submit’ at the bottom. The report will reach the Poetic Essence Publications Support Team, where it will be reviewed. We will follow up with you on the status of your report.

What happens after I report a user?

Each report that is submitted is reviewed, and the appropriate actions are taken. In some situations, there may not be a notification of the resolution of the ticket.

There are many tools in place to help empower the community to resolve issues on their own and forge a strong sense of connection with other users. Always remember that reports are anonymous and safe and should be used when a situation has no resolution that can be reached between the users involved.
