“Mom, are you smart? Answer my questions.” She rolled the ball into my court. Now, how I answer them, mould the conversations, or dodge the bullet (pun intended) is up to me. Talking to my nine-year-old daughter, Nandini, has always given me an opportunity – a prism – to introspect deeply on various things that previously had different connotations.

Through these simple yet profound conversations, I pondered questions I hadn’t explored in years, reassessed my beliefs, and thought deeply about my choices. This book is a product of those moments – my reflections and self-introspection sparked by my daughter’s innocent yet thought-provoking statements and questions.

In every conversation with her, I discovered that the purity in her curiosity has reshaped and challenged the adult in me.
